Angmagssalik

The club has a home built stitch and glue plywood Angmagssalik. The dimensions are similar to the Tahe  Marine Greenland. There the similarity  ends. This boat has no rocker and is all waterline, so flies in a straight line, but doesn't turn at all. Initial stability=seriously wobbly. Secondary stability, what's that? you tried edging to improve turning and found yourself upside down without any warning. However, the first kayak circumnavigation of Britain was in this boat.

Here are some details and pictures of the Club Angmagssalik, why not borrow it sometime! An ocean spraydeck fits the cockpit even though it is almost round. A square of foam mat makes the bare boards seating more comfortable. There are no footpegs, so bring a couple of foam blocks to wedge inside.
