Prijon Kodiak review

Jason Cole

Pros:

    • Loads of carrying space,

    • can carry a camping chair (?!)

    • fast on flat water,

    • can house big blokes,

    • tough plastic,

    • primary stability comforting for beginners

Cons:

    • cockpit coaming too high; not the easiest boat to edge or roll,

    • cannot fit a skeg; it has a rudder or try putting a big weight in stern compartment to trim,

    • not so fast in following sea,

    • difficult to turn on the spot,

    • backrest is bulky (and the cleat doesn't hold its position well),

    • thigh braces not very substantial
